About

Hilary MeyersonI am a freelance writer living and writing in Seattle, Washington, though I’m originally from New York.  I have a BA from Middlebury College in English literature and a JD from the University of Washington.  I have been selected for artist residencies at Hedgebrook on Whidbey Island, Caldera Arts, in Sisters, Oregon and Soapstone on the Oregon coast.  My work has been published at McSweeney’s, Seattle Met magazine, Literary Mama, Skirt! magazine and Brain, Child magazine.  My day job is editor and social media strategist for Outdoors NW magazine. I also freelance as a consultant for social media.

When I’m not writing, I can usually be found reading, playing with my kids, skiing or feigning interest in grown up conversations. I write about poetry, the writer’s life and other absurdities. I deal with pretty much everything, no matter how painful, with humor. I’m fiercely loyal and unabashedly snarky.
